Last week I wrote about the benefits of Chromium, Gymnena and Cinnamon when it comes to addressing sugar and carb cravings. These three ingredients are understood to promote blood sugar regulation. Obviously kicking the sugar habit is also important if we are are looking to lose weight. Recently a new formula has become available which not only contains Chromium, Gymnema and Cinnamon but also Garcinia Cambogia.

I’m sure many have heard about Garcinia Cambogia, the weight loss product which has been talked about for several years.  Garcinia Cambogia contains an extract called Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) an active compound which is extracted from the rind of this small tropical fruit. This acid can assist in suppressing the appetite plus also assists in impeding the storage of fat in the body.

It is understood the HCA contained in the Garcinia discourages the liver from producing new fat cells in the body. Instead, carbohydrates are converted into usable energy which then allows our liver to convert stored fat into extra energy instead of focusing on storing new fat. In addition, the HCA may also increase the serotonin levels which are the ‘feel good’ chemicals in our brain. By increasing these serotonin levels, there are indications the HCA may help with increased energy plus better sleep patterns.  To achieve the best results, it is believed taking up to 2800mg HCA per day will give the best results in weight loss.  It is best taken 30 minutes before meals.

Garcinia can be taken in a tablet containing only Garcinia (HCA), or it can also be taken in a combination containing other herbs which can help with weight loss.  This formula contains Forskolin which is the active ingredient of Coleus which is thought to promote healthy thyroid function and stimulate fat metabolism in fat cells.

I believe the key to the success of this formula however is the addition of Gymnema, Chromium and Cinnamon. Often addressing those cravings for sugar and cabs can mean we’re well on the way to achieving our weight loss goals. It also helps with those mid-afternoon energy slumps when we’re more often tempted to look for a sugar or carb hit. I often find customers saying they find they are no longer snacking particularly in the afternoon.

Obviously if we’re wanting to lose weight, taking a weight loss formula such as the one I’m suggesting is not going to work a miracle.
