Bev Dunne

If you suffer from PMS, menopause, endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibrocystic breasts or premature bone loss. If you are menopausal or suffer from thyroid dysfunction. If you are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant. Or if you are simply interested in your general health and wellbeing, I encourage you to attend our Women Through the Ages Seminar on Thursday 17th June.

During our 24 years in business at Go Vita, one of our aims has been to educate and assist our community in becoming aware of the various options available for maintaining good health and wellbeing. Hence our June Womens’ Wellness Month.

One of the highlights of this month is our “Women Through the Ages” seminar. This seminar will cover many issues for women of all ages from puberty to post menopause. We are privileged to have Sydney Naturopath Kay Bellingham as our guest speaker. I have known Kay for many years and always come away from her information nights, buzzing as she is so informative and easy to understand. Kay never fails to impress me with not only her abundance of knowledge but also her ability to help us understand the many health topics she covers. Topics at this seminar include -

  • Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
  • Menopause
  • Oestrogen metabolism (POCS, Endometriosis, Fibroids, Fibrocystic Breasts, Premature Bone Loss)
  • Thyroid Health
  • Nutritional support for women of all ages.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is believed to affect, on a monthly basis, more than 2.5 billion women worldwide. Now there’s a statistic if ever I saw one!! That’s a lot of women suffering mood swings, irritability, headaches, breast tenderness, fluid retention, bloating, fatigue – the list goes on. The impact and frequency of PMS symptoms varies from woman to woman and can make a difference to their day-to-day quality of life and that of their families. It’s estimated 30-40% of all menstruating women will be affected by symptoms at some stage during their reproductive years, particularly women in their 30’s and 40’s. But don’t despair, there are solutions. Kay will cover in this seminar, herbs which can be helpful in relieving these PMS symptoms, providing symptomatic relief as well as regulating and normalising irregular menstrual cycles.

Oestrogen Metabolism

So many girls and women suffer from endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids, fibrocystic breasts and premature bone loss. It is now believed this may be due to oestrogen dominance in our bodies. Controlling healthy oestrogen levels and maintaining the right balance can be challenging especially with the overabundance of environmental oestrogens we are now exposed to throughout our lifetime. Kay will explain how we can address this imbalance in her seminar.

Menopause

Menopause symptoms can vary from hot flushes and night sweats, anxiety, insomnia, low libido and fatigue. Sometimes you may only suffer from one symptom, or sometimes you hit the jackpot and suffer from all!!  Kay will explain what exactly is happening to our bodies during this time of menopause and how we can resolve these debilitating symptoms.

Thyroid

If you find yourself feeling constantly fatigued, moody, foggy headed or unable to lose weight, no matter how hard you try it may be time to kickstart your thyroid naturally with specific nutrients. Thyroid disorders are very common affecting 10 times more women than men. Underactive thyroid is much more common than an overactive thyroid. Unfortunately, an underactive thyroid puts the brakes on your metabolism, which means everything runs slowly in our body. Learn more about thyroid dysfunction at our seminar.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is such an exciting and special time in a woman’s life as she watches the way her body changes and grows to accommodate an unborn child. Keeping active in conjunction with nutritional support can help us make the best of our pregnancy. Kay will explain the importance of certain vitamins and minerals during pregnancy.

Attending this seminar is a great opportunity to learn more about your health and wellbeing. It’s the perfect opportunity to address those health issues which may be worrying you. Book now to avoid disappointment! Thursday 17th June 6.30pm to 8pm
