As we roll into the last week of our Women’s Wellness Month we have three more events to complete this month of education and nurturing of our female customers.  I encourage you to make the most of this week taking up the generous offers of our Clinical Nutritionist Sofia Keady, Reiki Practitioner Chery Austen and Yoga Instructor Liz Fulop.

Why is nutrition important?

Food choices make a huge impact on how we feel today, tomorrow and what the future holds in terms of promoting and maintaining good health.

The food we eat provide our bodies the "information" and materials they need in order to function properly. If we don't get the right information, our metabolic processes suffer and our health declines.

Nutrition and Women

Women’s nutritional needs change with different life stages. At every stage of women's lives, nutrition is one of the cornerstones of good health and optimal energy. 

As part of June Women’s Wellness Month, Clinical Nutritionist Sofia Keady is available for free mini consultation providing dietary recommendations for hormone imbalances affecting many women such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.

She is also available to give advice on nutrition prior to and during pregnancy to ensure optimal maternal and foetal outcomes and avoid nutrition-related complications such as obesity and gestational diabetes.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a practice bringing mind and body together using the breath. 

What are the health benefits?

It has many benefits physically, mentally and emotionally.  

It helps us to build strength in our bodies which in turn builds strength in our minds increasing resilience. 

It improves flexibility in our bodies and minds helping us be more adaptable in our lives. 

Using yoga, we can tap into our autonomic nervous system using the breath, which helps us to decrease stress so we can feel calmer and more relaxed.  

Anyone can do yoga.  You don’t have to be flexible or fit or need fancy yoga clothes!  

Bring a yoga mat or towel to use on the night.
